Hardball Classic returns to Progressive Field May 6-7, The eighth annual Cleveland Indians Charities High School Hardball Classic will be at Progressive Field on May 6-7. The two-day, six-game event will feature 12 Greater Cleveland teams. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 at the Progressive Field ticket office, at each participating school or at indians.com. Fans also can purchase tickets on the day of games for $7 at the gate. Each ticket allows access to all three games that day. All proceeds will benefit the education and recreation programs funded by the Indians’ charities. Kirtland vs. Fairport Harbor will be the first game on May 6 at 3 p.m., followed by Avon Lake vs. Amherst at 5:30 p.m. and St. Ignatius vs. Brunswick at 8 p.m. Kenston and Canfield open the second day at 10 a.m., followed by Midpark vs. Berea at 12:30 p.m. and Highland vs. Ravenna at 3 p.m.

Nate Miceli lead the 2010 Berea Braves High School Varsity Team and now plays for Owens College on Scholarship.

2011 BBAT Scholarship Award Nate Miceli was this seasons recipient of the BBAT scholarship, awarded to players who came up through the Berea Travel Baseball program and have went on to compete at the collegiate level.
Nate Miceli & parents Jake & Sue, receive a $500 Scholarship on November 6th, from BBAT Officials Dave Ticherich & Stan Aten.
To be eligible for the BBAT Scholarship, players must have played within the Berea Travel program during their youth years, and not with any competing programs.
