the Berea Braves 12U Tryouts for the 2011 Season are as follows:

2011 SEASON

After try-outs in August 2010, the Team will fundraise through the off-season. One major fundraiser already planned is our Annual Night At The Races, scheduled for November 6th 2010. The Team will conduct voluntary & mandatory Open Gym & Field practices throughout the Fall and Winter months, with mandatory Winter Training beginning in early January practicing 2-3 times per week. Practices will be themed with Pitchers & Catchers scheduled on some nights, Batting Practice other nights, separate from Team fielding practices and meeting sessions. The Team will hit the field in the spring of 2011, playing a short pre-season schedule through mid-late April. The Braves will also play an early bird tournament in mid April, and begin a 20-24 Game Regular Season Schedule in late April through mid-July 2011. Other Tournaments (1-2) will be added through the course of the season and the team will compete in the Cooperstown (NY) Dreamspark Tournament (CooperstownDreamspark.com) near the conclusion of or after the 2011 regular season, as well as participate in League Tournaments. Total Games: 38-48 approximately. Total Practices: 50-60 approximately. Registration Fee will be approx. $600/per player (with installments concluding in early 2011). Additional fundraising will be mandatory, as the team will require an approximately $20,000 budget to fund. This team was very family-oriented in 2010 with all summer holidays and most summer weekends off, and we expect almost the same in 2011. The team will have two uniforms and a full arsenal of equipment, including newly purchased batting machines in 2010. In addition, the team will receive two additional uniforms for the Cooperstown Dreamspark Tournament, along with Trading Pins and an assortment of other apparel and items that accompany the Dreamspark venue.
