RYAN ATEN AS THE ASTROS OPENING DAY STARTER

 

Several current ASTROS have played for Coach Stan Aten in recent years:

2002 REDS

2003 BREWERS

THE FOUR SEASONS:

Brian Devlin and Ryan Aten have played for Coach Stan Aten, going on the fourth consecutive season.

 

LOSING NOT IN HIS VOCABULARY:

Nick LeMaster helped the METS complete an undefeated (15-0) regular season schedule last season in the 9-Yr Old Division.

 

PARKNOLL ELEMENTARY PLAYERS:

Eight players attend Parknoll together, they include: John Grabowski, Ryan Aten, Xavier Elder, Brandon Haney, Nick LeMasters, Tyler Mullins, Steven Brown & Shannon Rease

 

TRAVEL LEAGUE LINK:

Ryan Aten and Shannon Rease's brother, Tevon Rease, play on the same 12 Yr Old Berea Baseball Travel team as Ryan Peterkoski's brother, Allen. Coach Stan Aten is an assistant coach for the 12 Yr Old Travel Team as well.

 

BROWNS TAILGATE SURPRISE:

Coach Stan Aten and Coach Matt King coached together in 2002 and learned that each had Browns season tickets. Later that fall, they discovered that they both Tailgate in the same small lot in downtown Cleveland and soon it became a weekly tradition to seek each other out each Sunday Home game and they remained good friends ever since.

 

NUT PEOPLE:

The Aten/Rease family and the Grabowski's, Haney's, LeMaster's and Mullin's all live on streets named after a NUT. (Chestnut, Hazel & Buckeye)

 

THE FIRST FAMILY:

Sandra Hubler is the daughter of Berea Baseball Associations President, Scott Hubler. Sandra and Shannon played on the same softball team in 2002, coached by Carol Hubler. Sandra and Shannon are two of three girls playing in the league this season.
