Berea Braves 2009 Cooperstown Trading Pin

The 12U Berea Braves unveiled the design of their 2009 Cooperstown Trading Pin on June 5th.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

The Berea Baseball Association Travel (BBAT) program is developed from the Berea Baseball Association (BBA) recreational league, in an effort to prepare athletes for the Berea High School Program. It is believed that by having the best players of a community compete with the best of other communities will better prepare these athletes to compete at the High School and College levels. This organization has helped to provide a higher level of competition than a community level league could provide. The BBAT consist of one-team per age group (from ages 8-14). The coaching staffs of these teams are carefully selected and governed by the BBAT Advisory Committee (Coaching application); The players are then put through a series of skill drills & workouts during a tryout period and the teams are selected each fall for the next season. Each team represents the city of Berea Ohio while playing in the Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association (CVBA). The CVBA was established in 1991 as an organization of community level All Star teams. The Braves play in Bid or Non-Bid divisions depending upon their level of team play. Each team plays between 18-26 regular season summer games and competes in a league tournament. In addition, most teams will participate in local tournaments, some of the older teams play in State tournaments and the U12 team participates in the Cooperstown Dreamspark National Tournament each season. If interested in joining the Berea Baseball Association Travel Baseball family, check back for coaching availability and player tryouts, starting in early August.

BRAVES SPORT NEW LOOK IN 2009

The Berea Braves 2009 12U Travel Baseball Team show off their new uniforms for the 2009 season.

The Berea Baseball Association Travel (BBAT) Program will outfit their six Travel Teams in newly designed uniforms (Shown Above) for the 2009 Season. The new look includes new mesh Jerseys in both Navy (shown) and also a Red version. New Logo displaying the 'Berea' name with the 'Braves' on the swoosh, and a logo image of the Braves head. The pants are a solid grey with thin red piping down the out-seem of the leg. The fitted caps also display the players number larger than in recent seasons. The uniforms are accented by navy belt and navy socks.

The BBAT uniforms supplied by Luna and paid for through the BBAT's newly restructured charter.
